Abstract

Political parties play a significant role within political life, as they are responsible for activating political action through the formation of individuals and their political socialization. Therefore, the Algerian legislator has addressed this matter through political parties’ laws.
A political party begins with the application for establishment, followed by accreditation, and then activity, where it remains in contact with the administration, represented by the Ministry of the Interior, as the authority responsible for all these previous stages.
The 2020 constitutional amendment played an important role in introducing amendments that affected the party system, through incorporating the modifications brought by this amendment into the new Political Parties Law, namely Organic Law No. 26-08 , including the establishment of the principle of litigation before two levels of jurisdiction in administrative matters.
By referring to Organic Law No. 26-08, it appears that the amendments concerned both the substantive and procedural aspects.
