SOCIO: ECONOMIC FACTORS AFEECTING THE LEARNING OF CHILDREN: A CASE STUDY OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN HAYATABAD, PESHAWAR

Abstract
The purpose of this research paper is to find out the socio: economic factors that affect the learning performances of the children. The factors taken into consideration in this research are the income, health, the use of technology, the parental involvement with the children and the size of the family. As nowadays these factors have a direct impact on the learning of the children. So, the purpose is to find the relation between the performance and the factors. A questionnaire is prepared which contained all the general information that related to the academic performance. And the data was collected from a group of 40 different students studying from class fourth to class seventh in private schools. The data collected was organized, tabulated and analyzed in a proper way and the use of statistical Chi Square and charts was used.
The results showed an impact of the variables on the student learning performances as the income of the parent has a positive impact on the performance of the student, also the health and the size of the family has a positive effect on the performance of the student. The use of technology had an adverse effect on the performance of the student while the involvement of parent has a positive outcome on the students’ academic results.
