Abstract

This study provides a general and specialized framework on green digital transformation as an application of the principle of integrating technology into environmental protection mechanisms and achieving sustainable development, while highlighting its potential contributions and the reality of Algeria and its national experience. This is addressed through the following research problem: How has the Algerian legislator adopted green digital transformation, and what are the main challenges facing its implementation?

Accordingly, the research problem was addressed through two sections, the first theoretical and the second practical. The study ultimately observed that Algeria has adopted digital transformation as a general approach to improving public services and facilitating administrative, financial, and economic operations. However, it remains limited in the field of environmental protection, which leads to the recommendation that specific legislation and executive mechanisms for green digital transformation should be established.
