The Electronic Court as a Mechanism to Modernize the Judicial Facility in Algeria: Between Application and Requirements

Abstract

Due to the technological and digital development that the world has witnessed today, most of the legislation, including Algeria, has adopted the electronic court system because of its advantages in bringing the judiciary closer to the citizen and facilitating the trial procedures, so that judicial services move from their traditional nature to the electronic nature.
The electronic court system has many advantages, the most important of which is to facilitate judicial procedures, whether for lawyers or judges, but this system still knows some difficulties in some countries, including Algeria, which leads to the digital development of electronic courts not keeping pace with the rest of the countries.
Through this study, we will learn about the concept of the electronic court and distinguish it from other similar terms, as well as the scope of application of this system in Algeria and the extent of its effectiveness. At the end of the study, we will conclude with some recommendations for making the e-Court more effective. The analytical and descriptive approach will be followed
